How to Measure Foot Size
- For the most accurate sizing, it's best to measure your feet at the end of the day. At the end of the day, feet tend to swell and may be slightly larger in the evening than in the morning.
- Before measuring, put on the same pair of socks you plan to wear with your shoes.
- Place a piece of paper against a wall and secure it to prevent it from slipping.
- Position yourself on the paper with your knees slightly bent. You can also sit down, but make sure your feet are planted firmly on the ground.
- With a pen or pencil pointing down, trace the shape of the foot onto the paper. However, ask another person to help you with this step if possible. This way, you can keep your feet steady and capture the most accurate dimension.
- Repeat the process with the other foot. It is normal for a person's bases to be two slightly different sizes.
- Mark the tip of the big toe and the furthest part of the heel and measure the distance between the two points. This size represents the length of your feet.
- Now use the measurement to find out the size through the conversion tool.
It's important to keep in mind that even if there is an industry standard, every shoe manufacturer is different. There can be variations and inconsistencies in sizes depending on the company that created the shoe.
